No matter what you think of war in general or the Iraq conflict specifically there can be no question that it is a hardship not only on those who go to serve but on those that are left behind.

Safe??

Well, Matt arrived safely in Kuwait. They are processing them through and acclimatizing them to the baking desert heat.

Travel Travail

No pic with this, but Matt is on his way to Camp Navistar, Kuwait. So far the trip has not been very encouraging. They left Camp Shelby, Mississippi Monday and flew to Bangor, Maine. When attempting to leave Maine Monday night it seems the plane caught on fire and had to return to the airport for repairs or replacement. This evening, as I write they are being bussed back to the airfield to try again.

Matt was home

Matt was home for a few days before heading to Camp Shelby and then on to Kuwait.
